Major Carlos Raines says 20-year-old Bridgette Duggins sent her mother a text message earlier this week saying she had been abducted at gunpoint in Florence.

Raines says police spent a lot of time working this case and U.S. Marshals helped to track her to Sumter County Thursday night.

Raines says the woman admitted that she lied about the kidnapping.

Duggins is charged with obstruction of justice.
