Hundreds of mourners turned out Sunday afternoon for a memorial service for the crew who died when an Omniflight LifeCare helicopter crashed on September 25.

The service was held at Brooks Stadium at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, and it included hymns, eulogies and an emotional helicopter flyover.

Pictures of the crew, bouquets of flowers and close to 100 family members and close friends sat on the sidelines -- as hundreds more packed the stadium.

Omniflight's CEO Bob Peiser told the crowd that the crew, "Patrick, Claxton and Diana made the world a better place," and close friends of the crew delivered several eulogies.

Patrick was described as a family man whose passions, other than flying, were his wife and two children. He had flew with Omniflight for just more than four years.

Claxton was described by his older brothers as a man who was not prideful but someone who enjoyed helping others. He, too, was married with children.

Diana was remembered as being quiet but having a quick wit with an unconditional love for her family and job.
