The sheriff of Scotland County, North Carolina says a former owner of a Laurinburg car dealership is on the run.

Frank Silvestry is wanted on 49 felony counts of fraud. According to Scotland County Sheriff Shep Jones, Silvestry failed to show up in court last week. Sheriff Jones has listed Silvestry on a national criminal database as wanted.

Silvestry is accused of not paying off trade-in balances and then selling the cars with outstanding debts. Sheriff Jones says one of his investigators is a victim of the scam.

If you know where police can find Frank Silvestry, you're asked to give them a call at (910) 276-3385.
