Horry County Police continue to search for a man who was the focus of a manhunt early Saturday evening.
That's after an attempted robbery of a local grocery store turned into a police chase.
Horry County Police spent the evening searching a wooded area off Highway 544 near the Peach Tree Grocery Store.
Officers say a man tried to rob the Lowe's Food store at Highways 544 and 17 and then fled. Soon after, police spotted the suspect driving over Hwy 544's Intracoastal Waterway bridge towards Conway.
That led to a brief chase, before the suspect crashed into another car and then got out of his car and fled on foot.
Police say they're looking for 27 year old Trevor Deshaun Wearing from the Bucksport area of the county. Wearing was released from J. Reuben Long Detention Center on Tuesday after being arrested for second degree burglary.
He was also arrested on August 7th for malicious injury to personal property and simple larceny.
If you have any information on Wearing's wher-a-bouts, call Horry County Police at (843) 248 1520.
