2 arrested in narcotics investigation

A man and woman have been arrested by Horry County police after a month-long undercover drug investigation in the Conway area.
Horry County police said in a news release on Monday, that in July the department's Narcotics and Vice Section started investigating a report of narcotics sales being conducted in an apartment in the Carolina Pines Apartment complex in the Conway area.
During the course of the investigation, police say controlled buys were made by detectives from the apartment. As a result, a search warrant was executed on the apartment by detectives, along with the assistance of the Coastal Carolina University Public Safety Department, because of the close proximity of the residence to the school.
According to the news release, during the search, approximately 120 grams of marijuana were seized with weighing scales and packaging equipment. Pill bottles with different types of miscellaneous pills were seized. An indoor marijuana grow house was discovered and disassembled, which contained marijuana plants, heat lamps, fans and thermometers. Approximately $1,528 was also seized from the apartment.
28 year old Andy Ray Elliott is charged with 2 counts of distribution of Marijuana, 2 counts of distribution of Marijuana in a close proximity to a School, possession of schedule IV pills, and possession with intent to distribute Marijuana. Police say he is currently out of jail on bond.
21 year old Hannah Celeste Jones is charged with distribution of Marijuana, distribution of Marijuana in a close proximity to a school, possession of schedule IV pills, possession of schedule III pills, possession with intent to distribute Marijuana. She is currently out of jail on bond.
