An 18-year-old who police say is affiliated with two gangs has been sentenced for gun crimes.

Deputies arrested Calvin Sweeney of Florence last year after they found a .22 caliber rifle in his car at West Florence High School.

Sweeney admitted he stole the gun from a home in Timmonsville.

He was sentenced to 21 months in prison for stealing and having the gun on the West Florence campus.
