The Chesterfield County Sheriff Office says a woman who called in an armed robbery, prompting them to lockdown two schools on Tuesday, made the story up.

The sheriff's office charged 24-year-old Sabrina Self with filing a false police report, Thursday morning.

Chesterfield County Sheriff Sam Parker said Self told deputies she was robbed at knife-point by a man, who then ran into the woods near two schools.

Police locked down Cheraw High and Cheraw Intermediate schools, as officers searched for the robber, Tuesday.
