About 40 law enforcment officers in the Pee Dee got invaluable training on underage drinking.

An instructor with the 4th Circuit's Alcohol Enforcement Team updated the officers on state laws for underage drinking.

The officers also learned about several new alcoholic drink products designed to attract teenagers.

"There's some of the sweet flavored liquors, some of the sweet flavored malt alternative beverages that are really appealing to your youth, and also alcoholic energy drinks," said Michelle Nienhius, South Carolina Department of Alcohol Drug Abuse.

The seminar wraps up Tuesday, when officers will learn about underage and binge drinking on college campuses.
