Many of the state's lawyers and judges have descended on Myrtle Beach for an annual meeting.

The South Carolina Bar convention kicked off Thursday morning at Grande Dunes.

The president says it's a time for learning and friendship.

"It's a combination of educational opportunity so that we can meet continuing legal education, our requirements and also to network and fellowship and make new friends and visit with old friends," said Flo Vinson, the SC Bar President.

US Senator Lindsey Graham will address the convention Friday, as well as State Supreme Court Chief Justice Jean Toal.
