The police chief of Briarcliffe Acres pulled over a car right before it burst into flames Friday evening.

The car started to spark as it was driving on US 17 by the town, according to Chief Kyle Lamparter.

Once Lamparter pulled the car over, the man got out of the car.

Lamparter attempted to put the fire out with an extinguisher, but soon the entire car burst into flames.

The North Myrtle Beach Fire Department put out the flames.

No one was injured and the car is a total loss.

All of the pictures are from Lamparter's dash cam.
