CCU hosts candlelight vigil for student killed

Thursday night at 6 p.m., Coastal Carolina University will host a candlelight vigil at Edwards Courtyard, located in the center of the Robin W. and Thomas W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts building for Anthony Darnell Liddell, 19, who died in a shooting Tuesday night.

Liddell was a sophomore at the school.

CCU President David DeCenzo will make remarks at the vigil, along with Debbie Conner, Vice President for Student Affairs.

An open microphone will be available for students to share memories.

Preston McKever-Floyd, professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, will give a closing prayer, and refreshments will be provided.
