A brush fire burned some land off Highway 66 between Daisy and Red Bluff roads around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Horry County brush fire units have the fire mostly under control but are still on scene.

We're waiting for information about the size of the fire.

It's behind several homes, but does not appear to be threatening the homes at this time.

Police were having to direct traffic because of heavy smoke on Red Bluff Road but the smoke has now cleared.
