HORRY COUNTY -- Judge Edward Cottingham sentenced Anthony Jerome Jackson, 46, of Conway, to life without parole under what is known as South Carolina's two-strike/three-strike law.

Jackson went into a Myrtle Beach hotel room about 1 a.m. on November 14, 2011 as two men slept.

He woke the men up as he entered the room, pretended to be a security guard, stole a wallet, and ran.

Myrtle Beach police arrested him nearby when he used the stolen credit card at a pancake house.

Jackson has a lengthy criminal record dating back to 1986 with prior convictions for Burglary, according to the 15th Circuit Solicitor's Office.

He also faces charges for another hotel room burglary.
