MARION -- Beverage Industries has purchased the former Road Rescue building in the Marion County Industrial Park on Spartan Place in Marion, according to the Marion County Economic Development Commission.
The Beverage Industries website says the company focuses on finding better ways to locate, showcase and sell processing equipment, packaging equipment, and bottling equipment for the food and beverage industry.
When the company opened in 1981 it was called Investment Recovery and had a plant in the Marlboro County community of Wallace. It soon expanded to 14 buildings in Cheraw.
Beverage Industries will have representatives in Marion Thursday to make an announcement in reference to the number of jobs it will bring to the county.
County officials say they can't say how many jobs are coming but are thrilled the company has decided to do in business in Marion County.
Marion County's unemployment rate in September was nearly 16 percent.
