When Patty Toth's house was set on fire this summer, her neighbor stepped in to help.

Now, Patty and Susan Volpe want to help others, including their friends and neighbors in New York and New Jersey.

Two Men and a Truck donated a truck for the two to collect donations on Shore Lane in the Deerfield Plantation neighborhood in Surfside Beach.

They hope to fill it and get supplies up north as quickly as possible.

Both women are from the area. Patty used to live in Newark, New Jersey. Volpe is from Staten Island. Both have family still up there.

They're collecting these things:

  • - bottled water
  • - Visa cards
  • - canned food
  • - dry food
  • - sheets
  • - towels
  • - blankets
  • - diapers
  • - formula
  • - toiletries
  • - paper goods
  • - clothes

For more information or where to take supplies, call Patty at (843) 446-9918.
