Crew member rescued from HMS Bounty dies

One crew member rescued from the HMS Bounty, which sank Monday off the North Carolina coast died early Tuesday.

14 crew members were rescued Monday morning, but two were still missing including the captain. Monday night, one of the missing crew was found

42-year-old Claudene Christian was taken to the hospital unresponsive and passed away.

The Coast Guard is still searching for the ship's captain.

The HMS Bounty left Connecticut last week for Saint Petersburg, Florida.

The director of the HMS Bounty organization said the crew had been in constant contact with the National Hurricane Center and tried to go around the storm.
