A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for coastal Horry and Georgetown counties.

Hurricane Sandy will pass approximately 300 miles off of the Carolina coast this weekend. Sandy is a large system with an extensive wind field. Tropical storm force winds will be possible through Saturday along the coast with gusts around 40mph.
