Brian Garland Lancaster, the suspect in an October bank robbery in Myrtle Beach, was arrested in North Carolina for a bank robbery in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina on October 16.
During an interview with Roanoke Rapids detectives, Garland confessed to the bank robbery on October 12 at the First Citizens Bank at 7500 North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.
Police say Lancaster presented a handgun and demanded money from the tellers. He fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
Lancaster has ties to North Myrtle Beach.
Monday, Roanoke Rapids police notified Asheville police that Lancaster was in the area.
They found Lancaster in the Motel 6 on Tunnel Road about 3 a.m.
