Sumter Police Department are investigating a shooting that happened around 3:25 Saturday morning, according to a press release.
The shooting took place on Brunhill street.
When officers arrived to the scene, they found a male with apparent gunshot wounds. Kevin Jones, 34, of Sumter was pronounced dead at the scene.
There are no suspects at this time according a press release.
