A Ruby man was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Florence for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances. Barry Alan Johnson, 45, was sentenced to 110 months and three years of supervised release.
Evidence presented at a hearing showed that Johnson conspired with others to possess and sell Oxycodone for many years with around 20 other people in Chesterfield County.
Investigators say Johnson purchased and sold a large quantity of Oxycodone in the form of Oxycontin at his residence.
The case was investigated by agents of Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
