Top three candidates for Horry County police chief named

Horry County has named the top three candidates for the next Horry County police chief to replace Johnny Morgan who retired earlier this year. 

The finalists are Saundra RhodesRobert Mason, and Mark Beach.

Rhodes has been serving as the interim chief since February. She's been with the Horry County Police Department since 1993.

Mason is the current Chief of Police of Randolph Township in New Jersey. He's worked for that department since 1985.

Beach is the Field Commander for the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC where he's worked since 1982.

The final candidate is expected to be announced in the next two weeks.
