Twelfth Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements says the nine Mullins police officers involved in a deadly shooting in June have been cleared by the State Law Enforcement Division.

He says the officers have already returned to work.

The officers shot and killed Malcom Smith, 24, on Gause Street after they say he fired shots at them.

Police say they were trying to question Smith about a domestic situation.

We're told a patrol car was shot at least 14 times during the gunfire.

The Mullins police officers were not hurt.
