After vacationing in Myrtle Beach, Eradio Marquez returned home to New York only to turn around and drive the 12 hours back to South Carolina after realizing he won $100,000 in the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The Kangaroo Express at 4815 Highway 17 South in North Myrtle Beach sold the $100,000 winning ticket.

Marquez won on a $5 Pure Gold scratch-off.

The odds of winning $100,000 are one in 480,000.

All five $100,000 winning tickets in the Pure Gold game have been claimed.

For selling the claimed ticket, Kangaroo Express received a commission of $1,000.
