Tropical Storm Isaac continues to head for the Gulf Coast where it is expected to land Wednesday on the seventh anniversary of Hurricane Katrina's landfall.
Mississippi and Louisiana are in states of emergency, where new hurricane warnings have been issued.
Meanwhile, in Tampa, delegates at the Republican National Convention are preparing for the worst.
Monday's opening session was canceled. Instead, there will be a brief meeting this afternoon, and the convention is expected to reconvene Tuesday.
Isaac is expected to become a Category 2 storm by the time it makes landfall late Tuesday or early Wednesday between southeastern Louisiana and the Florida Panhandle.
