LITTLE RIVER, S.C. (AP) - The Democrat running in South Carolina's new 7th Congressional District is scheduled to get an endorsement from a retiree group.
Gloria Bromell Tinubu is to be endorsed Tuesday by the Carolinas Alliance for Retired Americans in Little River. The group's president is endorsing Bromell Tinubu at an event where the 77th anniversary of the Social Security program is also being celebrated.
Bromell Tinubu is running in the new district in the northeastern corner of South Carolina, created because of population growth in the last census.
She faces Republican Tom Rice in the November election.
