Vision Airlines will end its flights from Myrtle Beach to Ohio markets sooner than expected, according to a Columbus, Ohio airport official.
Vision began offering twice weekly non-stop flights between Myrtle Beach and Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati this summer, after Direct Air went bankrupt in April.
Vision had initially announced the seasonal flights to Columbus would run through the end of October, but those flights will now end after Labor Day, according to spokesperson Angie Tabor of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. The airline's online reservation system also shows no scheduled flights from Myrtle Beach to Cleveland or Cincinnati after Labor Day weekend.
Tabor said airport officials expect Vision to resume the seasonal flights next year after Memorial Day. She said Vision gave no reason for discontinuing the flights early, but said the airline was making the same move in multiple markets.
