One of five people accused in a home invasion outside of Conway four years ago pleaded guilty Wednesday.

Jermaine Stewart was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years for Burglary second degree.

Horry County police say he was one of five people responsible for a home invasion on Woodlawn Drive on July 19, 2008.

Police say two men went into the house, armed with guns. But the family dog scared them out of the house.

Stewart was scheduled to start trial Wednesday on Burglary first degree, Assault with Intent to Kill and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime, but took the plea deal instead.
