Officials with the Darlington County Emergency Management say a storm caused some damage near Railroad Avenue in the City of Hartsville, just after 3:30 Monday afternoon.

Five homes have been damaged and city officials had to find temporary shelter for two of the families, according to Hartsville Police Chief James Hudson.

There are some power outages at homes on Milliken Avenue and Evans Street.

Progress Energy crews working to restore power.

Officials say several oak trees fell, streets are flooded and one home on Evans Street is damaged after a tree collapsed on top of it.

No one was hurt.

We're told city crews are working to remove the trees, and police are asking residents to take alternate routes around the flooded streets.

NewsChannel 15 was told by parishioners the Steeple at Twitty United Methodist Church also shifted during storm.
