WalMart says they will hire around 200 people to work at their new Bennettsville store which is expected to open in early August.

People wanting to apply can do it now. WalMart has opened a hiring center at 1040 Marlboro Way, Suite 8 in Bennettsville. The center started accepting applications last month, and will continue accepting them Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also apply online.

The store is hiring full time and part time associates. Store manager Raeford Carr says, "we are excited to add this Walmart to Bennettsville and bring good jobs with career opportunities to the area."

Most employees will start work in July to help get the store ready for a grand opening in August.
