High pressure remains in control over the East and will gradually push off of the coast. This will increase the heat and humidity across the area, but keeping us mainly dry into the start of the weekend. Highs will hit the mid/upper 80s by the beaches and into the low 90s Inland with a little more humidity each and every day. Summer officially begins tonight at 7:09pm. Factor the humidity and heat together, the heat index(or feels like temperaure) will reach near 100° later this week and weekend. Tropical Storm Chris formed well off of the Northeast coast and is heading out to sea. Another disturbance near Cuba will gradually head into the Gulf of Mexico.
