Florence Mayor Wukela wins primary vote

Taylor came to WPDE in 2011 from Greensboro, N.C., after working at WFMY News 2 and reporting for the Elon Sports Network.

Florence Mayor Stephen Wukela beat longtime Councilman Ed Robinson in Tuesday's primary election for the mayor's seat.

Wukela took home 2,273 votes and Ed Robinson received 915 votes.

Wukela will face Republican Steve Powers in November.
