Republicans Susan Minck, Warren Snell, Ron Moore, and Carl "Chippy" Johnson will be taken off the primary ballot in Florence County.

Minck and Snell were running for Florence County Council, Ron Moore was running for Florence City Council, and Johnson was on the ballot for South Carolina House District 62.

The State Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Florence County Democratic Party, which sued the county Republican Party.

The Democrats argued the Republicans disregarded the court's ruling last month that candidates who didn't file their statement of economic interests correctly or by March 30th were disqualified.

Florence County election officials plan to post signs outside the affected precincts telling voters not to vote for those who were removed.

Florence County Republican Chairman Bill Pickle says the party will comment either today or tomorrow.
