A Lake City truck driver who says he jumped from his tanker moments before it was hit by a train has been charged with disregarding a traffic signal.

The driver told police his tanker stalled on the tracks at the intersection of Fairview and Acline streets Thursday morning.

He faces a $237 fine and four points off of his license.

His name isn't being released.
