Testimony continued in the trial of Edward Stackhouse at the Marion County Courthouse Wednesday. Stackhouse is accused of stabbing his wife to death and then stabbing his 15-year-old stepson.
Prosecutors showed jurors surveillance video taken September 17, 2010 at an apartment complex on Dogwood Drive in Mullins where the victims lived.
Prosecutors say the video shows Stackhouse on a bicycle leaving the apartment complex after stabbing Sharon Warren, 36, and his stepson.
Stackhouse is charged with Murder, Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Crime.
Twelfth Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements, III said Stackhouse was tracked down at a house on Gold Street in Mullins and taken into custody shortly after the stabbings.
Marion County EMS paramedic Adam Rogers also took the stand Wednesday.
He said the then 15-year-old was stabbed in the neck and stomach and was immediately airlifted to New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington and released after a week.
Mullins Police Chief Michael Bethea told jurors Stackhouse stabbed the teenager after the teen tried to stop Stackhouse from stabbing his mother.
Bethea said Stackhouse also tried to stab Warren's 12-year-old son, but the boy was able to get away.
Clements say both boys will testify against their stepfather. He expects to call 12 witnesses to testify against Stackhouse.
It is not clear if the Stackhouse will take the stand in his own defense or if his attorneys will call any witnesses.
