A toddler killed in an Horry County car crash on Thursday, would have turned two years old today, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick.
Billy Mason Hucks, 1, died from head injuries suffered after being ejected from a minivan on Highway 9, Hendrick said.
Highway Patrol said around 6 p.m., the minivan was on Liberty Church Road when the driver tried to cross Highway 9, and collided with an SUV. Troopers said Hucks was not properly restrained at the time of the accident.
Hendrick said Hucks, of Loris, died at the scene.
The drivers of the two vehicles were taken to the hospital. Their conditions have not been released.
