Richard McLeod, Jr. pleaded guilty to bank robbery Thursday. Judge Larry Hyman sentenced him to 15 years with no parole.

McLeod robbed the First Federal Bank inside the Walmart off Highway 544 near Surfside Beach on November 16, 2011.

He went into the bank and handed the teller a note saying he was armed and wanted money. McLeod got about $4,000.

Employees were able to tell police which way McLeod went when he left the store and they arrested him a short time later.

Police say McLeod admitted to the First Federal robbery, as well as three other bank robberies from the Conway area.

No weapons were recovered from the Defendant at the time of arrest and none were seen during any of the robberies.
