MBFD: Fireworks started Long Bay Estates home fire

fire that burned at a home in Long Bay Estates on Thursday was caused by fireworks that were set off in the area, according to Myrtle Beach Fire Department Public Information Officer Bruce Arnel.

Crews responded to the call at the home in the 4800 of South Ocean Boulevard at 4:15 p.m.

Arnel couldn't comment on the condition of the firefighter who was taken to the hospital after the fire.

NewsChannel 15 is waiting to hear back from Horry County police to find out if charges will be filed.
