A ridge of high pressure located near Bermuda more typical of a Summer weather pattern remains in control across the East. It is keeping unseasonably warm weather around, but also helping to increase our moisture. This means a chance for scattered afternoon showers and storms will be possible. A developing sea breeze along with a weak disturbance just north of the area will also help in triggering these storms. Inland areas will continue to see temps reaching into the low 80s, while the sea breeze will keep the Grand Strand temps in the mid to upper 70s. An area of low pressure and associated cold front will come in over the weekend bringing another shot for rain and storms and then a slight cool down into next week..

Today: Partly sunny skies, warm, with a few scattered storms possible. Highs- Grand Strand: Mid 70s, Inland: Low 80s.

Tonight: Partly cloudy and mild. Lows: Mid/Upper 50s.

Friday: Partly sunny and warm. An isolated Inland storm can't be ruled out but most areas will stay dry.Highs- Grand Strand: Mid/Upper 70s, Inland: Low 80s.
