FLORENCE COUNTY -- The North Eastern Strategic Alliance released information on job growth and creation in its annual report that came out last week.
NESA officials say, last year, there were 13 announcements that resulted in 2,001 new jobs created in the NESA region.
NESA is a regional economic development organization that serves Florence, Horry, Georgetown, Darlington, Marion, Dillon, Marlboro, Chesterfield and Williamsburg counties.
Officials say the total investments in the new job creations is $248 million.
The companies that created the new jobs are Carolina AAC, American Luxury Coach, 3V Incorporated, ECAPS Corporation, SC National Guard Maintenance Facility, Schaffler Group USA, PolyQuest5-STAR USA, Otis Elevator Company,Dillon Furniture Manufacturing Company, JBE Incorporated, Sonoco, and SafeRack LLC.
