COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Republican hopefuls for the White House are zooming to South Carolina after Iowa's caucus to court voters in the first-in-the-South GOP primary.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry launched his campaign in South Carolina and had planned stops across the state this week. But after a fifth-place finish in the Iowa caucus, campaign events in South

Carolina have been put on hold. He says he's returning to Texas to decide "whether there is a path forward" for his campaign.

Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann heads to Fort Mill on Wednesday and then to Greenville, Spartanburg on Thursday and back to Fort Mill on Friday.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will campaign with Gov. Nikki Haley on Thursday in Charleston and Friday in Myrtle Beach. Haley then follows him to New Hampshire on Saturday.
