Sears announced Tuesday it would close 100 to 120 Sears and KMart stores.
It released 79 of the stores that are closing Thursday.
One South Carolina store is on the list. The Sears on Broad Street in Sumter.
Sears says employment varies by store and format so it can't tell us exactly how many employees will be impacted. But, it says, a typical store employs between 40 and 80 people.
