In September, officials with Dillon Furniture Manufacturing announced they were adding 107 new jobs due to an expansion, but NewsChannel 15 has learned the company laid off a dozen workers last week due to the slow economy.

The company's general manager says they are not getting expected orders from customers, so they cut 12 jobs.

The general manager says they intend to move forward with the expansion and hopes business will pick up around the first of the year.

He says at that time they will bring back the workers they laid off and rehire more people for the expansion.
