MYRTLE BEACH -- Grand Strand firefighters took some top sports in the Scott World Firefighter Combat Challenge.
The competition wrapped up Saturday at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach.
Horry County Fire Rescue's "Team Horry Reebok" placed fourth in the 64 team elimination tournament.
Another Horry County Fire and Rescue team placed in the top 20.
The Grand Strand female firefighters placed 5th in their division. Both Horry County and Myrtle Beach firefighters make up that team.
Horry County Fire Rescue and the Myrtle Beach Fire Department each put up $25,000 in accomodations tax money to bring the challenge to Myrtle Beach.
The event also gets money from the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and various businesses.
