Horry County Council Chairman Tom Rice announced his candidacy for the 7th Congressional District of South Carolina Wednesday morning, first in Georgetown and then in Myrtle Beach.
Rice is stopping in every county seat Wednesday that he would represent, if elected.
Rice says he's been discussing the decision to run for a couple of months. He says a lot of thought and prayer went into the decision.
He says his experience as a tax lawyer will be helpful to Washington, DC and to the people in our district.
He will make stops throughout the Pee Dee Wednesday afternoon before ending his day at end at 7 p.m. at Conway at Coastal Ale House.
