A Florence family was displaced from their home after an unattended pan on the stove led to a kitchen fire.

The Florence Fire Department responded to the 400 block of N. McQueen St. at 6:50 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival, light smoke was coming from the front of the home.

All of the residents were out of the home.

Firefighters quickly distinguished the fire found in the kitchen, but the entire home sustained smoke damage.

The Florence Area Red Cross was called to assist the family.

The Florence Police Department assisted the fire department.

No injuries were reported.
