In North Myrtle Beach, voters chose the representatives for the Cherry Grove Ward, the Crescent Ward, and the At-Large seat on city council.

Incumbent Hank Thomas won the at large city council seat. Incumbent J.O. Baldwin was also a winner, keeping the Crescent Beach Ward seat.

As for the Cherry Grove ward, the race is still too close to call. A candidate needed 1,334 votes to win outright. Fred Coyne got 1320 votes, Incumbent Doris Williams got 1148 votes, and William Ambrose Jr. got 194 votes.

The Election Commission will meet November 3 at 10:00 a.m. at City Hall to discuss challenged votes and fail safe votes. This process could determine an outright winner of this race or it could send this race into a run off. Any run off would be held on November 15.
