Lumberton Fire Captain arrested for Child Porn

Taylor came to WPDE in 2011 from Greensboro, N.C., after working at WFMY News 2 and reporting for the Elon Sports Network.

Chad Thomas Evans, 40, a Lumberton Fire Captain was charged with Possession of Child Pornography.

The State Bureau of Investigations Computer Crimes Unit arrested Evans Tuesday on nine felony counts of Second Degree Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

Evans has been suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation.

He has been a firefighter with the city since January 2000.
