A California man stopped on the Grand Strand this weekend as part of a cross country trip to raise money for cancer.
Flynn Donoho, 52, has traveled more than 5,000 miles so far. He's homeless and unemployed.
At the beginning of this year Donoho decided to travel across the United States on his bicycle with a trailer attached to highlight the need for people to donate to cancer research. He left with only $20 dollars in his pocket and suppiles.
He cycles about ten hour a day, which is an averaage of about 50 miles.
Donoho's sister-in-law is a cancer survivor. "My goal is a thousand dollars to raise for American Cancer Society and I'm up to 595 and all I can say is donate donate because they need the funds and need a cure."
Donoho hopes to make it to south Florida by Christmas and back home in California next spring.
