Carolina Patriots honor constitution anniversary in costume

More than 50 people came out to celebrate Constitution Day at Valor Park in The Market Common of Myrtle Beach Saturday afternoon.

The event, organized by the Carolina Patriots, met underneath a tent and dressed in period costumes and hung United States flags.

They recited the Preamble to the Constitution, and then listened to a a fife and drum corps band play traditional music.

September 17 marks the anniversary of the day the United States Constitution was signed and ratified.

The historical document was first signed in 1787.
