The tropical moisture associated with the remant Low of once Tropical Storm Lee will continue to stream up the East Coast over the next two days. This will keep the chance for scattered rain and a few storms in the forecast through Wednesday. A few storms may be strong to severe with the potential for damaging wind gusts, heavy rain, and even the potential for a brief tornado. A tornado watch has been issued and will be in effect until 2pm. You can track the rain and storms on First Alert Live Doppler 15000. When we are not seeing scattered rain showers and storms, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies and very muggy conditions. Highs will stay in the mid/upper 80s. Once "Lee" moves toward the Northeast, drier air will get pulled in behind it and down into the Carolinas. This will bring more sunshine and lower humidity levels for the end of the week.
Hurricane Katia continues to work its way through the Atlantic. Katia will head toward the East Coast through the beginning of the middle of the week, but make a turn away from the coast through the end of the week as a cold front and the remnant low of "Lee" comes up the East. Another wave in the Eastern Atlantic is showig a high potential for development and may be come a tropical depression or Tropical Storm Maria inthe next 24-48 hours.
